Happy Holidays! 2022 Year in Review

Happy Holidays from THE FAITHFUL!

It was a year of long-awaited togetherness.

From our screenings at UnionDocs, Brooklyn, that kicked off Annie's 3 day workshop on the Essay Film, to our festival screenings at the 42nd San Francisco Jewish Film Festival (the world's first Jewish film festival), Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival, and the San Francisco Documentary Film Festival, to our Boston homecoming at the Paramount Theater hosted by Anna Feder as part of her Bright Lights Series at Emerson College - THE FAITHFUL continues to resonate deeply with audiences.

Elvis, Princess Diana, and Pope John Paul II are just as alive today as evidenced by this year's Baz
Luhrmann Elvis Movie, Pablo Larraín's Spencer Movie, Queen Elizabeth's death, King Charles' ascension, the Harry & Meghan series . . . and more.

In Memoriam

This September, the same month that the world lost Queen Elizabeth (1926-2022), my family lost our steadfast, longstanding matriarch, Soosha Hurwitz (1923-2022). My grandmother. My Elijah's great grandmother. She had just celebrated her 99th birthday and enjoyed every last bite of her chocolate mousse cake, surrounded by her children. She left an elephant-sized crater in my heart, but I’ll summon her great will and spirit to greet each morning, to love and laugh, and take pleasure in that which we can. She showed me one’s never too old to start anew, love anew, create anew.

This year we lost another great matriarch, Wendy Theriault, beloved mother to Sara Theriault (co-Producer) who we remember as a strong, devoted, generous soul.

May the memories of dear ones no longer here with us, live on strongly in you.  And may your holidays be cozy and bright.
