As luck would have it, fair use advocate Diane Carson, co-director of an essential fair use film Other People’s Footage was also able to join us and share the stage.

Recapping our time at SXSW

Thank you SXSW for a wonderful festival, thank you to the 90-Minute Film School’s inquisitive and inspiring audience, and thank you Anna Feder for dreaming up a session that brings together the things we are unfortunately not learning at most film schools–we covered topics like exhibition, accessibility, the overcoming of barriers in cinema desserts, representation, alternative funding, and Fair Use, all of which are talked about far too little. It was wonderful to finally be brought together after a very long pandemic, and such an honor to get to discuss so many important topics in the film world with such an amazing and inspiring group!
